My brother Tom has been on a solo motorcycle trip on his KLR for a few months now. He started from Vancouver Island and is now in South America, somewhere high in the Andes in Peru. True to form, he has avoided many of the typical tourist traps and has instead traveled backroads and visited some out of the way places. Some of the countries he has rode through include the U.S., Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Honduras, Belize, Costa Rica, Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru. Godspeed, Brother Tom!
Hand-lettered signs, helmets, parts, motorcycles, and all sorts of things I'm interested in.

True Fire Mike Lavallee
Mike Lavallee was in my neck of the woods a couple of years ago at a truck show. Even though I'm not a huge fan of the whole skulls and death thing, his airbrushing is truly excellent, as his work is so highly detailed. It looks better in real life than in photos.
Racing Action At Castle Rock Washington!
In honour of Smokin' Joe Kopp's retirement, I've dug some pictures of when I saw him race (and win) at Castle Rock, Washington, in 2008. Brother Tom and myself made the trek south to see the dirttrack action, through sunny skies one minute and torrential downpours the next. It was a truly fun trip, highlighted by good company, great racing, and the best eggrolls I've ever tasted! Please forgive the awful picture quality; hard to shoot through fencing with a piece of junk camera.

The Legendary George Barris
I got to meet and shake the hand of the King of Kustomizers himself, George Barris. He's probably best known for the Batmobile and the Munster Koach, but in his decades-long career he has come up with everything from mild customs to far-out creations like the X-Pac flying car. And to think he was in Abbotsford...
