Hand-lettered signs, helmets, parts, motorcycles, and all sorts of things I'm interested in.

September Sign of the Month- Columbia Inn Neon Sign, Kalama, Washington State
I've been in this town several times and driven by this sign and admired the colours and shape of it. These kinds of signs were everywhere when I was a kid but now are disappearing from our landscape, especially in my neck of the woods. Its nice to see businesses holding on to the old neon.

Hot Rods at Bonneville Speed Week
Even though the record setting part of Speed Week didn't happen there were still a lot of cool cars to be seen.
Bonneville Speed Week 2014, Bonneville Salt Flats
Well, I made the long trek south to watch the Bonneville Speed Week racing. Unfortunately, heavy rains flooded the salt flats and the Speed Week was cancelled. All the stuff that looks like water is water! It was up to the knees at times.

August Sign of the Month- Vintage Hire's Root Beer Sign
This great old Hire's sign is painted straight on the wall of this old grocery store in Portland, Oregon. I saw it and had to take a picture. This is also a testament to the durability of hand painted signage versus cookie-cutter vinyl. How long has this been there? Judging from the bottle, probably from the 1940's or 50's. I hope its not painted over in the future.

Spit and Shine Motorcycle Show 2014 at the Shop
Our man in the field Brother Tom rode his mighty sickle to the Spit and Shine show this year and to some pictures. If you look closely you'll see his El Burro Azul custom C70, as painted by JEK.

July Sign of the Month Take 2- Vintage Shell Oil Sign
I just realised that I already posted the Guzzi sign as a Sign of the Month a year ago. So, I thought I would do a part two with this Shell sign from Burnaby Village Museum. Great place to visit, especially around Christmas time.
