Spring Ride on the Moto Guzzi

Took the Ballabio out for a spin earlier this week.

Animal Themed Signs- Address Sign and Charolais Bull Sign

Its been an animal themed month so far.  Here are two I did, one featuring a hummingbird and the second a partial restoration of an old ranch sign.  The original image in the ranch sign was done on vinyl some time ago.  Of course, as we all know, vinyl gets brittle and falls apart, unlike the hand-lettered words below that are of the same vintage, which have only faded slightly.  My job was to remove the vinyl and repaint the image in such a way as to make it look as old as the lettering.  I was happy with the way it turned out.

Another Customised Moto Guzzi

Here's another one from the V11 forum (which by the way you should check out if you're interested in these bikes http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/). This one is a Ballabio with spoked wheels.

Moto Guzzi with Custom Fairing

I saw this one on the V11 forum.  Gorgeous bike!

First Big Dirtbike Ride of the Season

The winter so far has been extremely mild out here on the West Coast of the Great Green (nee White) North.  So, brother Tom and I decided to go trail riding on the Honda XR's. We took this main logging road and then rode through some great single-track trails through the woods.

March Sign of the Month- Surge Milker Sign

I pass this rusty relic on a regular basis.  One sunny day I had to stop and take pictures of it.

A Row of Honda CB400/Fours

What's better than a 1970's CB 400/F? A whole row of them! I love these bikes!

February Sign of the Month-Esso Gas Pump Signs

I did the gas pump signs and pump faces for these prop gas pumps for an antique store display.

January Sign of the Month- 1981 Yamaha PW-50 Lettered and Repainted

I know its not a sign, but this project involved a lot of hand-lettering, so for me it qualifies as the sign of the month. I recently did a repaint of this PW-50.  As you can see the tank was in need of cosmetic tlc.  I wound up simplifying the original design, just to be different!

Merry Christmas from JEK Signs!

I didn't paint this one, but a fellow named Gerard David did, some 500 years ago. Merry Christmas!
